LOUIS XIII LE JEROBOAM is born on a scale as great as the reputation that LOUIS XIII has forged for itself since its creation in 1874. Masterpiece of the LOUIS XIII collection,LE JEROBOAM is only released in very limited quantities each year, and reserved to a few privileged aficionados.
LE JEROBOAM is four times the capacity of the regular LOUIS XIII. Each decanter is individually fashioned by a team of nine crystal craftsmen working in unison, among the most qualified – at Cristallerie de Sèvres.Five kilos of crystal in fusion are gathered, blown and shaped. The complexity in the making allows no compromise. The neck of the decanter is finally dressed in gold. Each decanter is then individually numbered and certified.
Experiencing LOUIS XIII is a very special encounter. The size of LE JEROBOAM decanter invites to a ritual of tasting that draws into the highest level of refinement, with a ceremony that replicates the historic gesture of the cellar masters dynasty. The masterpiece is approached with reverence and care and, like the cellar master at the cask, the spirit is drawn out with a pipette that samples the precious contents with just the lightest touch, into a crystal glass, designed by creator Christophe Pillet.A multitude of aromas, resulting in a dense harmony of flowers, fruits and spices. Jasmine mingles with passion fruit, in a blended flirtation with ginger and nutmeg. Roses and violets entertain fig and prune that in turn perform melodiously with sandalwood and honey.LOUIS XIII LE JEROBOAM magically renders a voluptuous taste of perfection to be savoured unashamedly in a state of supreme pleasure.
LOUIS XIII LE JEROBOAM comes presented in an oak wood case, designed by a traditional carpenter craftsman located in Cognac region. With respectful passion, the carpenter continues and perpetuates the work of his predecessors. Taking inspiration from both the original LOUIS XIII transportation box and the oak wood tierçons in whichLOUIS XIII eaux-de-vie aged for a century, he carefully designsLE JEROBOAM unique case.In the workshop, oak pieces are assembled and nailed to shape the carcass. Such as veritable solid cast jewels, the carpenter fits the hinges and the corner braces, and then finally fixes the handles on the case.As a final touch, LOUIS XIII badge nails are hammered and the craftsman individually numbers each of his creations.
